Netflix said it worked with ElevenLabs to recreate the late Gene Wilder's voice with AI for the reality competition 'Wonka's The Golden Ticket.' Built with the Gene Wilder Estate and the Roald Dahl Story Company, it brings a deceased actor's voice clone to a major streaming original. Consent-based commercial reuse of an actor's voice and likeness is spreading from film and audiobooks to reality formats.

Google unveiled Nano Banana 2 Lite, a fast, low-cost AI image generator. At about $0.034 per 1,000 images and roughly 4-second generation, it's pitched at high-volume ad-mockup and content-testing workflows. After its AI-tooling collaboration with A24, Google is extending price competition beyond professional studios into the high-frequency creative-production market.

A paper on InsertAnywhere, an AI video-compositing technique co-developed by SK Telecom and KAIST, was accepted to ECCV 2026. Mark a spot once in a video and it inserts an object or brand image naturally across the whole clip, accounting for camera movement, occlusion, lighting, and shadows. It is already used in the virtual product-placement solution AdFlux on broadcast programs, with a patent filed.
One line: an actor's voice and the objects inside an ad are now generated.
