OpenAI released its GPT-5.6 family in three versions, Sol, Terra, and Luna. The company pitched enterprise work, coding, scientific research, and cybersecurity as the main use cases, and also announced ChatGPT Work, an agentic tool for the workplace. General-purpose models keep pushing deeper into day-to-day work.

CAA sharply criticized Meta's AI image model Muse Image for treating public Instagram accounts as fair game by default, on an opt-out basis. Muse Image can generate AI images from public-account photos unless a user turns the setting off themselves. It could widen into a fight over actors' and creators' likeness and publicity rights and non-consensual AI output.

Korea's science ministry and the KAIT association reported results from an AI-dubbing push to spread K-FAST abroad. Last year they localized about 1,200 titles and more than 1,400 hours of K-content into English, Spanish, and Portuguese to build 20 channels, carried to 22 countries via Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels and topping 100 million cumulative viewers. This year the government plans to back vertical drama, K-beauty, and K-dance channels.
