- [MTN Money Today Broadcasting] AI Character-Chat Companies Introduce Their First Voluntary Safeguards ↗
As character-based AI chat services gain traction among teenagers, Korean operators have created their first voluntary industry guidelines. Scatter Lab's Zeta recorded 2.008 billion total executions in July, while Wrtn's Crack and Naver Webtoon's byUs offer similar character-chat experiences. The draft covers crisis response, age checks, protections for vulnerable users, privacy in personal interactions, and measures to reduce overuse. It still leaves open questions about minimum protected ages, personal-data collection, and exposure to targeted advertising.

Global 2D creation platform PixAI has released Tsubaki.3 across a service used by 16 million people. The model can use up to three reference images to preserve a character's appearance, clothing, and visual style, then apply natural-language edits to composition, color, and details. It also raises the maximum resolution to 2048×2048 and improves multi-character scenes, comic pages, and text inside images. The product reflects a shift in AI image competition from impressive first outputs toward repeatable character-driven production.
- [Yonhap News Agency] B tv A.Dot's Conversational Search Turns AI Recommendations into Content Selection ↗
SK Broadband's generative-AI media service B tv A.Dot has surpassed 1.7 million monthly active users and 21 million monthly conversations. Among customers who used it for media-related conversations, 55% selected content from an AI response, and their streaming usage rate reached 80.4%, compared with 24.1% for non-users. Customers who used A.Dot for five consecutive months visited it 1.7 times more often, while their conversation volume and VOD viewing time were 1.8 and 1.6 times higher. The service lets viewers search VOD, OTT, and live programming by describing a genre, mood, or viewing situation in natural language.
One line: AI is moving deeper into character creation and content discovery, making user protection and durable creative workflows part of the product itself.
